Mammograms May Increase Risk for Breast Cancer

We’ve known that radiation puts us at risk for cancer, but the newest one to add to the list is that mammograms may actually boost cancer risk in high-risk women. According to a Dutch research, the average risk of breast cancer from radiation exposure was 1.5 times greater among the high-risk women studied than the high-risk women not exposed.

Again, this applies to high-risk women. But this could very much add to the debate going on regarding the new guidelines on mammogram.
