Medical Students Support Alternative Medicine

And why not? When I was a medical student, we were taught that we should be compassionate with our patients. That includes being open to alternatives. As such, we had some introduction on Ayurvedic medicine, aromatherapy, acupuncture, herbal medicine… you get the idea. So learning now that medical students in the US are supportive of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) is quite refreshing. They believe that knowledge of such could help Western doctors do a better job.

For more information on CAM, The U.S. National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine has more here.
